We’re Nick and Brett. Our journey began with a shared love of wine and entertaining, hosting regular wines in the backyard.

What started as an idea for a wine bar in Sydney’s inner west evolved into something more ambitious — creating our own vineyard and winery.

In late 2021, we made the leap to Glen Aplin in Queensland’s Granite Belt, where we purchased a former tomato farm and by 2022 planted our first vines.

Here, we’re building Witby Estate — short for wine in the backyard — a place where our passion for wine, community, and connection can take root.
